Craft your own glass jar fish bowl, make a paper plate Nemo or Hank the Octopus, create some aquarium themed art and try a cheesy fish.

Activities start at 10.30am Ticket Prices Under 16s £ 3.00 (Two carers free)  Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.   Unaccompanied and Additional Adults £ 3.00 Refreshments available.

Suffolk Libraries Presents are amazing performances and cultural events recorded live and screened using top quality projection equipment.

Once an exciting and essential part of American entertainment, the river boats of the Mississippi are now a fleeting memory of times past. Show Boat gives us a vivid glimpse into the world of these floating theatres, showing the myriad stories and lives that surrounded and depended on each one. Beginning in 1887, we see three generations performers and workers as they navigate the epic tale of enduring love and racial tolerance.

A collection of archive films produced by Creative Arts East as part of the BFI’s Britain on Film project from the UK’s film and TV archives.

Your chance to travel back to a time when travelling by rail was comfortable, punctual and maybe even glamorous! A major new collection of rare archive films sourced from the national and regional archives and newly digitised, charting the history of the UK's railways and bringing home the romance and heady freedoms offered by train travel as it expanded across the country in the early 20th century.

Violeta  Valéry  is  a  well-known  courtesan  in  Paris  whose  life  appears  to  be  glamorous..  However,  she’s  suffering  from  a  serious  illness  and  living  on  the  money  given  to  her  by  her  male  patrons.  But,  when  she  meets  Alfredo  Germont,,  a  young  man  from  a  good  family,,  they  fall  in  love  and  move  to  the  country.  However,  Alfredo’s  father  disapproves  of  their  relationship  and  persuades  Violeta  to  return  to  Paris..  Alfredo  is  left  feeling  betrayed  and  heartbroken,,  but  when  he  finally  learns  the  truth,,  he  returns  to  Violeta,,  and  they vow  to  be  together  forever,  but  she  soon  collapses  and  breathes  her  last.

Meet Local Author Gavin Milnthorpe

Gavin Milnthorpe is a commercial lawyer  by day and a writer of fictional nonsense by night.  His debut book “Stanley Young is Planning a Murder”, a darkly humorous book was published in 2013 and he has now published his second book “Second Hand Scott” - Scott Logan, AKA Second Hand Scott, specialises in picking up girls who have just been dumped, jilted or otherwise broken-hearted. But he isn’t your stereotypical romantic cad and bounder. No; he actually thinks he’s being helpful. But one day, Scott is forced to choose between his continued second hand existence and the possibility of true love.

Come and hear about Gavin’s writing, getting published and his latest work.
