A Thank You message from David Smith.
I am delighted to tell you that I am now safely home from my cycle challenge from Vietnam to Cambodia. 450 kilometres over 6 full days, through typhoon 14 and a final days ride of 90K in 42 degrees C! – I will never complain about the heat in this country ever again! It was an amazing adventure, with an amazing group of people and an absolute privilege to take part in.
I am however, outstandingly proud to have raised £4731.70 in the process, and together with my fellow cyclists we have raised over £130,000! with donations still coming in….all for the Art for Cure Charity, raising money for national breast cancer research and supporting breast cancer services here in East Anglia.
Whilst it is impossible to thank all individually, I would like to give a shout out to Barbrooks Stores and Howells and Jolly Pharmacy in Reydon. Café 51, Harris and James, and The Lord Nelson in Southwold – Thank you so much for collecting on my behalf… To The Clubs and Organisations and their members of Southwold Lions, Southwold Rotary, The RAOB and associated groups….. and Reydon Quizzers, again my sincere thanks for all your generous donations to my charitable cause.
To my wonderful family who supported this crazy adventure of mine – Thank you for putting up with me (no mean feat!) and again thank you to each and every one of you who was able to sponsor me personally – you are all MY heros.
Finally, to my Employers and colleagues at Staylists.com – Who generously gave me the time off to do this. I thank you…….
I am lucky to live in such a supportive and generous village, so once again, from the bottom of my heart – Thank you all for your support.
