Here is an indication of what each depth reading means. Different vehicles have different heights which means this can only provide a guide, but this should help you to be prepared for potential challenges passing the road:

Normal winter level:

110cm AOD

Lowest part of the road:             
140cm AOD

Flooding across the road            

160cm AOD

Small cars can get swamped        

170cm AOD

Road may be closed  

180cm AOD

This page reports the sensor reading at approximately 6.30 a.m. each day. Weather conditions during the day mean that the real time depth may have changed. Heavy rain can also cause temporary surface drainage flooding.
