A celebration of the life of Don Price
Ex Reydon High School Teacher, Carpenter & Joiner & Bell Ringer Extraordinaire
At Reydon Church at 11:00 am on 8th July 2022
And afterwards at Carpenters End, Three Marsh Lane for snacks and chats in the garden. Please bring your memories, stories, photos (and perhaps a folding chair & brolly) and help us give him a proper send-off.
Don was a Reydon resident for 50 years and well known for.....
- Teaching Woodwork & Metal work and as a Sailing instructor (he also built his own boats and Sailed at Southwold ..long time ago) to pupils of Reydon Modern /High School, and later at St. Felix
- Excellent joinery work in local churches, the Electric Picture Palace, Carving 'Gingers' bench, the Tardis Notice Boards and a great many other local Carpentry jobs ...making Architects dreams come true. Including the Great Doors of the Engine shed for the Southwold railway & The Christmas Stable at Reydon Corner. One year for the lights switch-on, much to the local children's delight, he even supplied real sheep behind the stable too!
- Fine Ringing the Bell ringing community having been a member of the Ancient Soc. of College youths for almost 80 years.
In latter days Don developed Dementia and became known to many locally for His many 'Great Escapes'. Our thanks again to all those who rang to tell us of his whereabouts or even brought him home!
He was also proficiently self sufficient, a fine gardener & cook ...as well as loving husband & father of four...and he always had his sleeves rolled up.
If you have fond memories of Done Price, please join us on 8th of July.
